Well, fall is here, and it will quickly be winter. It is time to store up for the winter season and be ready. Make sure the car is in good shape, there is plenty of food in the house, and the winter clothes are out of the closet. It’s important to be ready for the seasons, especially winter.
There are several verses in the Bible telling us to be ready. Matthew 24:44 tells us to be ready for the Son of Man is coming at an hour we do not expect and Matthew 25:10 warns us that if we are not prepared the door will be shut by the time we get there!
So, it is with the Gospel of Salvation. Be prepared. 2 Corinthians 6:2 tells us “now” is the day of salvation. We do not know when we will die or when he will come. We must be prepared now.
Won’t you be prepared now? He has already saved you; you just need to accept this free gift of grace and put your trust in Jesus. If you do that you will make it through the winter of this life to the next.
